Eden Hazard looking keen on move to Real Madrid move
Real Madrid has been linked to Eden Hazard for a couple seasons now but the move has never come to fruition. His words earlier this week suggest that now may be the time.
Eden Hazard dropped a not so subtle bombshell about moving out of London and heading towards Madrid. The Belgian winger has been on Madrid’s wishlist for a few transfer windows now. Florentino Perez might have got the signal that he’s been waiting for and according to Hazard the President knows what to do.
This hasn’t been the first time we’ve reported on this incident. Back in January during the transfer window, Hazard’s father mentioned the move would be welcomed. After a failure of a campaign domestically for the Blues, they will not be participating in Champions League next year. This could be another reason why the Belgian superstar will not stay at Chelsea.
Hazard was asked about his future at Chelsea and gave quite an open answer. His responses were quite subjective, Chelsea fans will look at it as if he is staying while those who want his talents will see it as his call to leave. When asked about the move he did make it clear that he was interested in coming to Real Madrid. But he hasn’t shut the door on Stamford Bridge either.
"“They know what they have to do if they want me.” -Hazard on"
Eden Hazard did express that he would not go to Madrid just for the sake of it. The winger pointed out that if he were to leave he want’s a “project”, to be a part of something bigger than himself. Hazard explained that at Chelsea he has just that but with Conte gone that could all change. He later mentioned that he was “not going to remain if they are going to be worse.”

The Chelsea winger was the best player last season for his side despite the woeful fifth-place finish. Hazard finished the season 17 goals and 13 assists in all competitions. While his numbers aren’t Ronaldo-esque the talented playmaker provides more than what the stat chart accounts for.
The Belgians attack minded ideology would certainly be welcomed in Madrid. His dribbling ability would be a great asset to the team. Especially with an aging Ronaldo and Karim Benzema who are 33 and 30 respectively the 27-year-old would bring about some youthfulness. The only question is, does Julen Lopotegui see room for him in the squad?
