With just over two minutes left to play in the game Baskonia cut the lead to three points. NBA prospect Luka Donic had a huge moment scoring a one-legged three-pointer with the shot clock winding down. This would be a decisive shot as Madrid would score a couple more three’s to win the game.

Legacy

This game cements manager Pablo Laso’s place in history with the yesterday’s victory. Laso has now added 15 trophies to the cabinet of Real Madrid in just seven years with the club. Having won the European and domestic title in the same season this will be the clubs seventh double.

With the domestic league title win, Real Madrid has now won four titles in the last six years. Madrid will be looking to carry on their incredible form into next season. But with Luka Donic likely heading to the NBA, they will need to strengthen the squad.
