After enjoying a great season with Bayern Munich in his first year on loan, rumors have begun to swirl that Real Madrid will bring back the Colombian star this summer. They should and here’s why.

When James left his dream club last summer, he was neither happy nor excited for the move. It was a move that he had to make in order to further his career. While James was a key to this team the first few seasons he was in Spain, he simply fell out of favor with former manager Zinedine Zidane.

But, with Cristiano Ronaldo now off to Italy and Zizou no longer at the helm, the time is right for James to make his heroic return to his dream club.

When asked how he felt about his loan deal a year ago, he had this to say:

"“It was sad and very hard for me to leave because playing for Madrid had always been my dream. Whenever I can, I always watch the team’s matches. I trained well at Real but every coach has their preferences and you must respect them. Football is like that, sometimes you are where you want to be and other times you are not, and then you come back.”"

This is a clear indication to me that Rodriguez is dreaming of making a return to the Spanish giants and has been since he left. With Bayern, he was simply showing to the world, and most importantly his parent club, that he still has what it takes to be a starter on the best team in the world.

At 27, his stats are still pretty incredible with seven goals and 11 assists in league play while also making 12 appearances in the Champions League as well. To say this was a successful loan stint would not be good enough.

President Florentino Perez should be incredibly impressed with James’ play and be more than willing to bring him back this season. Especially with the departure of CR7.

I really enjoyed Rodriguez while he was at the club and I think he would fit in nicely now more than ever due to the club going through some significant change right now. Although the midfield is still congested with talent, it would be stupid to let a crazy talented player like James Rodriguez stay with Bayern Munich.

Do the right thing Flo, bring this man back this summer.
