Positive takeaways from the win
There is a lot to be happy about after this win. The team looked confident, put more shots on target than against United (five today), and the young players made an impact on both offense and defense.

It was also good to see the likes of Carvajal, Navas, and Lucas Vazquez get their first action of the new season as they try to get back to mid-season form. Vazquez was up to his old tricks down the right wing and linked up nicely with Marco Asensio and Dani Ceballos on a few occasions.
Standout players
New goalkeeper Andriy Lunin played the entire second half in relief of Navas and actually got some action this time around. The young Ukranian made a couple of impressive saves off of Juve set pieces and distributed the ball well through the second half.
His reflexes really impressed me as he made a couple stops right on the goalline.
You can’t recap this match and not mention Marco Asensio and his finishing. The Spaniard looked like he was playing a pickup game out there with the dribble moves and relaxed approach. Even though it is still preseason, I am confident Asensio can shoulder the offensive load when the competitive matches begin.
Sergio Reguilón played the entire 90 minutes at left-back today and wow was he good. The 21-year-old Castilla player didn’t care he was playing one of the most decorated clubs in the world in Juventus as he jumped in on the attack and made some good interceptions at the back.
Going up against Federico Bernardeschi is no easy task but the young defender handled himself well and earned himself a lot of praise from the commentary team over the course of the match.
