Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos is off to a blisteringly hot start in La Liga. Through three matches, the German international has been passing and holding the Real midfield together at such a high level he is being listed as the best midfielder in Europe statistically.

Toni is known for being the guy to make few passing errors and quarterback the Real Madrid outfield during any given match. Following a disappointing performance in the World Cup over the summer, the number eight is out to prove to his critics that he is still one of the best playing the game right now.

While he may not have scored a goal or earned an assist in playing all 270 minutes in La Liga thus far for manager Julen Lopetegui, if you take a look at the more detailed stats, Kroos stands in a category completely on his own.

His passing vision and his ability to always get in the right place at the perfect time has helped boost him to the top of two different statistical categories that will really impress the fans.

Thus far, Toni is averaging the most passes per game (111) and has earned the best completion percentage (96.7) of any player in the top five European leagues, according to WhoScored.

What makes these stats even more impressive is the fact that Kroos is also averaging 1.3 key passes per game and hits 11 long balls per game. These two statistics are by no means easy to achieve.

It is quite impressive that the player who always averages these kinds of numbers can continue to perform at such a high level. Toni Kroos is truly an anomaly in the football world and President Florentino Perez should be very proud of the move he made to sign him from Bayern Munich back in 2014.

Since the move, the 28-year-old has done nothing but win trophies both individually and on a club level as well. He has seen four different managers in his time in the Spanish capital, but one thing remains the same: seeing the number eight in the starting XI.

Kroos seems to be in mid-season form already with the way he has led the team to three straight victories and he is showing no signs of slowing down. The midfielder sure has earned the respect of avid football fans around the world with his ability to lead by example and make the difference in tight matches.

He is a staple of this Real Madrid team and is a huge reason the club has won three straight Champions League titles with Kroos on the team.
