Can anything stop Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale?

Can Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale carry this form throughout the entire season and stay healthy?

Gareth Bale is quickly making the woes of Ronaldo’s absence fall silent. Bale has begun his very own campaign for the Balon D’or race as the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo has made him the new talisman for Real Madrid. With three goals and an assist in the first three games of La Liga so far. As well as a goal and an assist in his most recent game with the Welsh national team, it would seem that the only X factor in whether Gareth Bale will ever be stopped this season is his fitness.

After Wales battered Ireland in a friendly 4-1 you see that Gareth Bale is not just dominant because he plays for Real Madrid, Gareth Bale is dominant because he is back at full fitness. With his heroics of last year in the Champions League final, Madristas finally got to see glimpses of the player Bale was before his long road of injuries.

Real Madrid once again got to see why they paid 90 million for the Welshmen. With a new coach, new system, and Bale now one of the sure picks in the starting XI you can see that his fitness and his confidence are growing. His performance in the last few games, watching him shock goalkeepers, and glide by defenders should be all the evidence you need.

The real question is can he make it the full season and what precautions is Real Madrid taking to make that possible? Does Bale fall too easily to injury or was it just a bad string of injuries all at the wrong times?

In the last two years at Real Madrid, Gareth Bale missed 204 days due to injury, but his injury problems go all the way back to his Spurs days. Some of the injuries are just little knocks where he is out for a week or two, but many of the ones we saw during the last two years at Madrid ended up being a couple months. However since his performances in the Champions League last year we have not really had to worry about injury and finally just got to watch the man play, and Madristas across the world have been rewarded with a third consecutive Champions League.

Bale did not play in the World Cup since Wales did not qualify, but we constantly saw him on the Madrid training grounds with his partner in crime Karim Benzema, getting past the fact they weren’t in the tournament and were preparing for the upcoming season. So far Madristas can do nothing but rejoice at the fact Real Madrid are playing beautiful football right now, Madrid is three for three on wins, and all the right players are stepping up after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo the clubs record goal scorer.

My only questions are how long can Bale stay healthy, and if he remains healthy how high are the expectations of the Welshmen and Real Madrid? Gareth Bale’s Balon d’Or campaign has been officially announced for 2019.
