Marco Asensio

Rank – 95

Grade – 85

The spicey winger has broken into the top 100 in this years edition of FIFA. At just 22 years-old that is an incredible feat. While he doesn’t top any one category, in particular, he is certainly above average in several. Marco’s top three assets according to FIFA were dribbling, shooting and pace scoring 85, 84, and 83 respectively. His weakest point was his physicality, standing at 6’0 with little muscle mass the attacker can be pushed off the ball. Nonetheless, he is clearly a threat in front of goal, possessing all the components you want in a great wing player, he’s only going to go up from here.

Gameplay Tip

Asensio doesn’t have the greatest pace but you can surprise opponents with a shot from distance. Link up with teammates for a quick one-two to get him into space, his control in close quarters will leave opponents behind. Run along the goal line and fire a low pass into a trailing player for an unpredictable attack.
