The Brazilian worked tirelessly over the 2017/18 season giving Luka Modric and Toni Kroos more freedom to build the attack. Casemiro received an 88 for physicality and 87 for defence, neither score an exaggeration. If anything the defensive midfielder is a little too physical. Nonetheless, Madrid’s recent success on the continental stage is in part attributed to his impact.
