Gareth Bale

Rank – 31

Grade – 88

One can only imagine where the Welshman would stand had he not been injured for portions of the season. Putting that aside though, he continues to tear up the right flank while drifting into the middle depending on tactics and personnel. His 95 in pace is no joke as his ability to get going from a standstill is something you need to rewind to believe.

That pace coupled with an 85 in dribbling, along with an 88 in shooting this is what makes him such a phenomenal player. The quick turn of direction throws opponents off making them look like Bambi on ice. If he continues his form this season FIFA 20 could see him ranked much higher.

Gameplay Tip

Players like Bale are a bit of a hack, use his pace down the wing to break free from the defence and cut inside, hold the finesse button for a nice curler from the right side. If you can’t make it one-v-one send balls over the top, more often than not he’ll chase them down. With Ronaldo gone, Bale is a great option for free kicks, knuckleballs are a sure way to score.
