Substitutes

Marco Asensio – 7

Yes, this man has all the talent in the world, but the consistency of his game should start to garner his attention as well. Coming in with about a half hour remaining for Karim Benzema the winger helped bring some heat with 3 shots on goal. His roulette topped with a no-look shoot nearly earned him a Puskas nomination.

Mariano Diaz – 7.5

The returnee finally got his time on the pitch and he surely made it count. His golaso was typical of the infamous number 7 jersey he now dawns. From the moment Diaz stepped on the pitch his work rate was incredible, he pressed high putting loads of the defence and goalie. Hopefully, we can see some more this youngster who’s clearly come back with a bang.

Dani Ceballos – 6

With only 5 minutes to play one wouldn’t expect much, but Ceballos dazzled the crowd as the stadium filled up with oooohhhs and aaaahhhhs. His distribution of the ball coupled with his ability to work out of sticky situations on all his own is a great sign. No doubt that the young man will get plenty of minutes this season.
