Eden Hazard has continually flirted with Real Madrid – that is nothing new. It is clear that he would move if we actually put in a sufficient bid for the player. It really is a case on whether or not Perez considers him a target that he would move for. With reports that he still hasn’t signed a new deal, it seems like he is waiting for somebody to make a move.

Kovacic? Different story altogether. I recall the moment he stated his desire to leave that I felt he won’t be coming back. His conduct wasn’t that of somebody who would return eventually, compare it to James who still talks Madrid up, you naturally feel that he could return. Kovacic doesn’t do this – especially with his recent comments to Sky Sports. Couple that with the reports that the board are openly considering his sale due to them feeling discontent at his actions and it seems all but confirmed that he will no longer be a Real Madrid player. So I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t return.

In regards to Solari – I can’t see him being sacked unless we exit the UCL, Copa Del Rey and have a severe decline in La Liga. Surely they cannot change the manager AGAIN this season. If Solari is going to go then it will be once this season has concluded, unless he wins a treble. I would love for Pochettino to join the club as I feel he’s the perfect manager for the next chapter in Madrid but it will be very hard to not only lure him away from Spurs but also to get him from the very tight clutches of Daniel Levy.
