Returns and reunions?
A Jose Mourinho return? I don’t think it’ll happen. Whilst it was rumoured, there have been more reports since then that have denied those initial rumours. I think it’ll be more likely we see the club chase after Pochettino. Though, should it happen, I don’t think it’s a good idea to bring the return of Jose. The club is looking very much towards the future and that isn’t something Jose provides. He is very much a short-term option and it’s clear he’s not the same coach. Not only that but he isn’t what Madrid is needing – his first term was different. Madrid needed something to battle the philosophies of Barcelona and Mourinho proved perfect with this pragmatism.
In terms of Marcelo moving to Juventus – it won’t happen. Marcelo clearly loves the club and Alex Sandro just renewed his contract so the likelihood of them signing Marcelo is essentially nil now they’ve managed to tie down their current left-back longterm.
In terms of Isco, as mentioned earlier, it does seem that there is something going on behind the scenes, however, he has stated he has no intention of leaving and is happy. Although if the current situation continues, I can’t see him staying. It’ll come down to whether or not Solari remains following the end of the season.
