Time to say Goodbye to Bale and Benzema?

This question is packed with several variables despite it revolving around one topic, about two players.

Your first sentence is, it’s time to move on from Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale. You haven’t explained why you don’t want them around anymore. Is it due to poor form? Health and injury concerns? What is it? Take a look at the Espanyol game, Benzema’s most recent. That was an absolutely marvelous performance on so many accounts. Benzema had one of his best, if not best performance thus far this season.

Would that game alone change your mind? Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. My advice is to be patient. Now to Gareth Bale, you may be fed up with his injuries but don’t forget he is human. Again, take a look at his last match, the Welshman came on and scored. His impact is something that is grossly overlooked due to injury. I am not a blind optimist but take a step back and look at how many titles were secured due to his contributions, namely goals.

You don’t want them there, neither do thousands of other fans but what Florentino Perez decides will dictate how it all plays out. If it were me I would genuinely sell Bale but keep Benzema, and here’s my rationale. Real Madrid could realistically sell Bale and recoup a considerable amount of cash.

That’s not to say the same could be done with Benzema, but it likely won’t be as much. Adding to that, I would like to see Benzema stay as in a backup role. Chances are he would be open to that. This provides Madrid with the ability to have a great backup striker who won’t cause a fuss.

Of the players that you mentioned after, you boldly stated that they won’t be coming to Real Madrid but each one has been linked to Madrid at some point. If I were to pick from those names it would be Mbappe and I do believe Papa Perez and Co. are working on getting that done one way or another.

Who is going to save this team? No one will. It is going to be a group effort, a team effort. I think many fans are fixated on the Ronaldo era, and I’m not saying people need to get over it but understand that he is arguably the best to ever play the game. It is ludicrous to believe that there is someone who can come in and make such an impact. If anyone were to do it, it would have to be Mbappe. Then again we’re all extrapolating based on potential. Needless to say, he’s now with PSG in Ligue 1. Not the most competitive league by any stretch of the imagination.
