Midfield

Luka Modric – 7.5

Luka by no means had a bad game but there were other players who shone brighter. Modric had a typical Modric game passing well and dictating the play. Luka had 94 touches and five key passes, topping both categories.

Casemiro – 8

Finding himself having to fight for his spot with Maros Llorente the Brazilian had a superb performance against Alaves. The defensive midfielder lead the team with six tackles and four interceptions. Helping to control the midfield he distributed the ball with 92% PA.

Dani Ceballos – 8

Yet another stand out player against Alaves, the Spanish midfielder showed off his ability to hold possession in close quarters as he was repeatedly fouled. Ceballos had four key passes along with three dribbles and three tackles. Dani finished the game with the second highest number of touches at 90 passing with 95.6% PA.
