Lucas Vasquez celebrates scoring for Real Madrid

Lucas Vazquez – 8

Getting the start over Gareth Bale, Vazquez proved to be the right decision. Just six minutes into the match he gave Madrid the 1-0 lead with his neat redirect from Benzema. Along with three dribbles and 88% PA as he caused trouble for Barcelona’s defense.

Karim Benzema – 7.5

Once again another stellar game from Benzema. Looking like his best self, he was fresh and quick on the ball. Karim created plenty of goalscoring opportunities in the match including his neat assist to Vazquez for the lone goal of the match.

Vinicius Jr. – 7

While Vinicius suffered some criticism in yesterday’s match he had a good game. Sure there were some moments where he could have made different decisions but you can’t knock the kid as this was probably his biggest game to date. Along with Benzema, he created some great chances for himself and his teammates. It will be interesting to see if Solari gives him the go-ahead in the second leg.
