Prodigy Vinicius Junior has been on a run of form few players ever see in their career. However, the 18-year-old Real Madrid winger has been on such a tear that manager Santiago Solari has played Vinicius in every match since December 12th. He could start Wednesday in the Champions League and win an interesting bet with his father.

Four goals and six assists in his first season playing in Europe are much better than anyone could’ve imagined from the kid hailed as the next Neymar Jr. Vinicius has been the spark plug Los Blancos needed on the forward line and because of this, there is a good chance he features against Ajax.

The number 28 has featured in two Champions League matches already and could be called upon again in Amsterdam.

If that is the case, he could win an outstanding bet with his father that some might find interesting. Vinicius already has three tattoos and his parents are unwilling to let him get another one.

There is one exception, however. According to Marca, if Vinicius Junior is able to bag a goal with Real Madrid in the premier tournament in Europe, his father will allow him to get a fourth tattoo.

I love the extra incentive that Vinicius’ dad is putting on his play! I have no doubt he is already doing his best to score regularly and his work rate is still jaw-dropping despite watching him play in so many matches.

Vinicius and his father have maintained a good relationship after his move from Brazil to Spain this past summer. According to his former coach, Gilmar Popoca, Vinicius remains calm and lives simply, surrounded by family and close friends.

This fast ascent into stardom can weigh heavily on a young player, but it looks like the wickedly quick forward is staying focused on his play and training hard to please his manager.

I am torn as to whether it is a good idea to start Junior on the left wing this week after he has been playing so much. Marco Asensio is back healthy and Gareth Bale could play on the left side if needed.

We will have to keep a close eye to see if Vinicius’ father follows through with his end of the deal if indeed he does manage to find the back of the net.
