4. Alvaro Arbeloa’s long-range stunner

Arbeloa was never known for his attacking prowess as a fullback even though he used to try and aid the attack from time to time.

This remains his best Real Madrid goal and it was special. Ronaldo’s freekick from around 30 yards out was blocked by Ajax as it deflected and found its way to Arbeloa’s feet and he had nothing but the goal on his mind.

He struck it beautifully as the ball swerved away from the keeper who had no chance but to appreciate the effort and watch the ball going past him.
