With a fresh starting XI, Real Madrid was full of pace and quick movement of the ball. In the opening 45-minutes, Real would control much of the ball with 62% possession

Real Madrid looked to dominate against Girona just as they have in their previous three meetings this season but that wasn’t always the case. Girona had their chances despite soaking up plenty of pressure.

While there were several chances by both teams to score, it was the 25-minute that brought about the opening goal of the game. Casemiro would add another goal to his bank account.

Madrid dominated on shots with eight in total and four meeting the target whereas Girona had just one on target from two shots. The second half would prove to be full of drama and goals with Madrid unable to keep a firm grip on the match.
