Midfield

Toni Kroos – 7.5

Kroos had another great game with the assist to Casemiro’s goal. The German worked hard all through the match to help give Madrid edge but could only do so much by himself. Toni had seven key passes, all four of his long balls met the target and finished with 89.7% pass accuracy.

Casemiro – 8

Casemiro stepped up to the plate scoring a goal in the 25-minute to give Real Madrid the lead. The Brazilian had four tackles, two interceptions and a clearance. For the most part, it was a solid performance as he tried to hold Girona at bay but with the rest of the team failing to pick up the slack it was hard to keep it all under wraps.

Dani Ceballos – 6

Unlike his teammates in the midfield, Ceballos didn’t get much done during his time on the pitch. For most of the match, he looked out of depth which can be attributed to lack of consistent playing time, but at Real Madrid that is no excuse.
