Gareth Bale has always struggled to gain the love of fans at Real Madrid, could Chelsea’s interest persuade him back to the Premier League. Here’s a look at the Blues shocking reveal.

When teams are pressed on such issues one of two things typically happen. The first is the team completely denying any links to the player and the second is for the team to say they wouldn’t mind having the player as a part of their club.

It’s not often that clubs will link themselves to other players, especially not in the fashion in which Chelsea did just recently. Earlier this week Chelsea shared an article from their official site, via Twiter.

The article touched on various topics, with very little mentioning Gareth Bale. Nonetheless, it happened and it was quite odd. In the article, they had mentioned that The Sun had reported the Blues were interested in the Welshman.

"The Sun is suggesting that Real Madrid are keen to sell Gareth Bale this summer with Chelsea a likely destination for the Wales international winger.Manchester United are also reportedly interested in the former Tottenham Hotspur player who moved to Spain in 2013. -Chelsea Report"

Chelsea simply relayed the information but gave no indication as to what their stance is on the player. That begs the question, why do it?

Speculation around Gareth Bale has been present for the past few seasons so whether it means anything is still in question. A trade does seem more likely though as Eden Hazard has expressed his interest in Real Madrid on numerous occasions.

That being said, don’t be surprised if Gareth Bale does depart from the capital during this summer transfer window. No doubt Bale has done great things for this club but now is the right time for both parties to part ways.

Real Madrid needs to move forward and rebuild a strong side using its next generation of players. Good signs have come of Madrid’s young players such as Vincius Jr. and Sergio Reguilon. Bale’s departure would also free up space for the likes of Marco Asensio and Isco.
