Gareth Bale Should Leave

Many questions during this edition of question corner were around the topic of Gareth Bale. The winger was substituted into the match at home against Girona this past weekend but was ineffective. As a result, many fans are hoping the club will part ways with him this summer. Some are even infuriated as to why it hasn’t happened.

Before we dive deeper into this though, here is something that fans need to understand. We’re just about three weeks into February, and the January transfer window is already closed. Stop dwelling on the past wondering why he wasn’t sold, there are no time machines that can change reality. So no, we can’t just get rid of Gareth Bale, at least not yet.

Others asked, why Real Madrid is yet to sell Gareth Bale, a more thought-provoking question. Last summer Ronaldo left, to sell Gareth Bale as well would have been ludicrous, irrespective of how efficient he was going to be in the upcoming season.

Moving on to the final part of this question, is it time up for Gareth Bale? Personally, I believe so. Real Madrid should cash out this summer transfer window and get what they can for the Welshman. Doing so would be wise for the club as that expenditure could be used to replace him.

That being said it’s important to have respect for Bale. Despite his struggle, his impact and contribution to this club cannot be forgotten. He’s been written off before and he’s made people eat their words, so be careful about what you say.
