Real Madrid Question Corner #6: The Marcelo concerns continue

A Tale of Two Halves

Before we get to the second half, let’s just point out that he had a superb first half. It seemed that Marcelo had overcome his demons but as we know the latter 45-minutes wrote a very different story.

The goal conceded did not come down to Marcelo only, but he was a victim of a defensive lapse. He stuck in front of his man, but too far ahead leaving him plenty of space. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time this has happened.

I do believe though that he can continue to regain his form. It’s evident that the defender has been spending plenty of time in the gym as he has shed several pounds.
