The answer to this question is very simple in my eyes – no. Everyone knows that a trophy-less season in the Spanish capital is a trip to the executioner and it would be no different for Solari. Whilst he has done a more than admirable job in steadying what was essentially a sinking ship in complete crisis and he has done exceptionally well in his big game performances, patience is afforded to no man under the icy glaze of Florentino Perez.

However, hypothetically, should he not win anything but put in respectable performances, why would you oppose his chance to stay? Unless there is somebody better to appoint and by better I mean Mauricio Pochettino, it makes no sense to get rid of a man who has performed well. He integrated young-stars and has largely established a good brand of football. I’d say he’s earned a fair shot.
