4. Forwards

Here is where we can probably see the most changes at the club in the coming summer. There is no denying that Zinedine Zidane isn’t an admirer of Mariano Diaz and his injuries this season haven’t really helped his case and the same works with Gareth Bale as I do not see any way either one of them will be at the club in a few months. The manager will definitely want to keep Karim Benzema as well as Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior.

I believe that we will be purchasing Eden Hazard this summer as the Belgian has apparently made his decision and is a known fan of Zinedine Zidane. The other “must-have” would be Kylian Mbappe but the forward has already stated he’ll be staying at PSG next summer so maybe we’ll have to wait on this one. There has been talk of Sadio Mane arriving from Liverpool but I don’t see any way that would happen this summer or even anytime soon.

Real Madrid will also have the arrival of Rodrygo but there is simply not enough space for him in the squad if he wants to play enough and grow. Will he go the Vinicius route and play with Real Madrid Castilla while taking part in first-team matches once in a while? I don’t see him being as integral to the squad as Vinicius was this season simply because things won’t unravel that way with the possible arrivals this summer.

Next. Three takeaways from Real Madrid’s emphatic 4-1 win over Valladolid. dark

In summary, this is how I vaguely see the summer going following the return of Zinedine Zidane:

Departures (either full transfers or loan):

Andriy Lunin, Jesus Vallejo, Theo Hernandez, Federico Valverde, Luka Modric, Isco, James Rodriguez, Brahim Diaz, Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz

Arrivals:

Eder Militao, Eden Hazard, Rodrygo Goes
