Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema

Asensio:

ZH: Marco has been a huge let down this year but his predictive numbers were much better under Zidane than under the managers we have had so far this season. I think we will see a bounce back year from him next year.

HK: I was not surprised by Marco Asensio not living up the the expectation of becoming a cornerstone this season. He has never shown consistent form to even warrant that belief. He’s talented, sure. But he’s got a long way to go. Keep him and I trust Zidane to resurrect him but he for sure isn’t the biggest future star in this team, that is the man we’re discussing next.

Vinicius Jr:

ZH: All hail the future king.

HK: I was quietly excited when he arrived for this season. Though, I never expected what he has gone onto become this year. This kid is the next future Madrid great, bank on it. Yes, he is raw but he’s young and we need to show patience. Keep and never ever let him go.

Gareth Bale:

ZH: A loan where we supplement his wages is probably the most likely way to be rid of him. He has a broken relationship with much of the franchise and his complicated relationship with Zinedine Zidane. Unfortunately he will probably never get enough credit for what he has done for the club but it’s time to go.

HK: Gareth Bale has done big things in his time at Real Madrid, no doubt. However, I wrote about how the last few weeks will make or break his future and it’s fair to say that it’s broken. Bale has fallen out with the fans and seems an alien at the club. It’s a shame, he’s talented and was shorted by his fitness issues. That aside, time to let the Welshman go.

Lucas Vasquez:

ZH: A loyal club servant with a great two way work rate. He should be here for years to come.

HK: The worlds most lovable workhorse (James Milner eat your heart out.) But seriously, he’s effective and should be kept.

Mariano Diaz:

ZH: If he can be healthy next year I do not mind him as a backup striker. However, if we sign someone new to supplant Benzema, I would rather keep Benzema and sell Mariano for what we paid to get him back.

HK: I never understood why we brought him back and I still don’t find him all that impressive. Yes, he’s been injured but even still, the games he’s played in have been nothing performances. Two goals all season is nothing to scream about. Sell him and bring back RDT or get a better back-up.

Raul de Tomas:

ZH: He has had a good year, but his predictive numbers do not track like a Real Madrid player. I like him, but we should cash in.

HK: I think he’s a more than capable back-up striker and we should’ve utilised him over bringing back Mariano Diaz. If there are no plans to buy anyone else and Mariano is moved on the bring this guy back! Eleven goals in the league (at the time of writing) is good enough for me.

Karim Benzema:

ZH: An absolute legend at the club. I want a more pure goalscorer, and if Benz is willing to stay on as a backup I would love to have him. If not, he has earned the right to move somewhere that he can get more Champions League playing time.

HK: I wrote Benzema off at the start of the season and I was wrong, thankfully. He’s been the man for us up front this season and is a club legend. Although, we need a more consistent and bigger goal-scorer, I feel he could be perfect if partnered with a serial scorer. Keep him.
