A new era is on the verge of beginning at Real Madrid and all signs point to that era not including Gareth Bale as it seems as though the club have officially decided that the Welshman will not be part of the plans next season.

Six years of opportunities at the club will end with the board finally deciding to cash in on the attacker in order to finance the purchase of a galactico according to AS, who have labelled Gareth Bale as “transferable”. The most expensive player in the history of the club will not be able to continue his career at the Santiago Bernabeu and it also looks like there will be some new faces with the money he brings in, as some of the names going around are Paul Pogba and Eden Hazard.

Gareth Bale has had his fair share of ups and downs at the club and as every transfer window approached, there seemed to be a belief that he will always be there by the end no matter how badly some fans wanted to see him leave. This time though, the end seems to have arrived after a string of very poor performances and certain inexcusable comments by his agent have all but opened the exit door for the Welshman regardless of how he performs in the final ten matches this season.

Zinedine Zidane came back and promised big changes and even though many of us look at that statement and automatically think about players coming in, we should not forget that some big names may also be leaving with Bale probably the first one to go.

light. More. Where is Brahim Diaz?

As of now, it’s difficult to determine where he’ll end up by the end of the summer with the most recent reports speculating that he’ll be at either Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Even though there is no denying that Bale is a player many clubs would certainly be happy to count on, his price tag and wage demands will significantly lessen the amount of interested clubs.  Tottenham Hotspur would probably like to have him back for example but they won’t be able to afford him unless they strike a possible deal with Real Madrid that includes Christen Eriksen going the other way. Therefore, trying to guess where he’ll be next season is extremely difficult but it looks like the only sure point is that he won’t be at Real Madrid.

With many fans finding happiness at this recent development, it’s worth noting that even though Gareth Bale has never reached his potential at the club and especially not the heights that many predicted from him at the beginning of his time here, he has given us many reasons to smile and celebrate throughout the past six years and as he makes his way out, let’s all be thankful for the years he has given us and look forward to a new era at the club we have all grown to love.
