Club football is back after yet another international week as Real Madrid prepare to take on their final ten games of the season beginning with Huesca later tonight.
This will be Zinedine Zidane’s second match in charge since returning after leaving the club nine months ago and it will be interesting to see how he decides to line up the team given that they have nothing to play for anymore while there is a big chance that he will be fielding some players who haven’t gotten many minutes as the club takes on last-placed Huesca. Having said that, a win is a must for both teams as Real Madrid want to secure a UEFA Champions League position while Huesca are fighting a relegation battle and currently find themselves seven points away from safety.

This should be a straight-forward match for the hosts even if Zidane opts so start some of the fringe players. Real Madrid are simply too good for Huesca but we have seen more than enough shocks this season alone which would suggest that Los Blancos will have to be careful and not underestimate a side that will definitely be coming out with everything they got. Real Madrid beat Huesca the last time they played earlier this season with a very narrow 1-0 win with Gareth Bale the only goalscorer on the night.

Real Madrid go into this match without Thibaut Courtois, Daniel Carvajal and Vinicius Junior who are recovering from injury but the good news is that Marcos Llorente has finally been able to be called up after returning from his injury layoff along with Lucas Vazquez. Raphael Varane, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Marco Asensio have all not been called up to the squad either as it’s assumed that Zidane has chosen to rest them after the international break and before the match against Valencia on Wednesday night.
Predicted Starting Lineup:
I am going to go with a slightly bold prediction and assume that Zidane will be making a fair amount of changes to the squad that played against Celta de Vigo during the last game out. Zidane will not be willing to take too many chances against Valencia later this week and therefore he should be fielding some of the fringe players in order to let them show what they have got and give them a chance to fight for their spot in the squad next season.
