Eden Hazard Is Closer To Real Madrid Than Ever Before
Real Madrid and Eden Hazard seems to be the never-ending transfer saga, however, recent developments could mean that the saga is finally drawing to a close. Reports in Spain are suggesting a deal is imminent.
Anyone that is familiar with Zinedine Zidane as a manager knows very well that he keeps his cards extremely close to his chest. After his return to Real Madrid, that seems to have changed a little bit particularly when it comes to a couple players. Initially, it was Paul Pogba and now he has taken it up by yet another level when speaking about Eden Hazard.
“I’m not going to give my personal opinion, we’ll discuss it at the end of the season. He’s a player I’ve always liked, everyone knows that. He played in France, I’ve seen an awful lot of him and know him personally. It’s nothing new, he’s a fantastic player” said Zidane at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Eibar game. The part that stuck most with the fans was when he said that “we’ll discuss it at the end of the season” which he simply never does unless there is something certain happening in the background.
It is no secret that Eden Hazard has been on Real Madrid’s radar for quite some time and things seemed like they may have come to fruition last summer but Chelsea were not willing to lose both Thibaut Courtois and Hazard to Real Madrid in the same window. Therefore, the Belgian stayed and as the season wore on, he made up his mind on what his situation will be next season. Right now, he seems closer than ever to calling the Santiago Bernabeu his new home.
According to Marca’s Spanish Website, they have confirmed that a deal is finalized between Real Madrid and Eden Hazard. Not only that but the player will be announced in the next few days as well, which is a surprise as no one expected any sort of announcement this big before the summer transfer window opened.
As of now though, this is all talk and we know very well that nothing is really official until we read that we get the communication from the selling club or Real Madrid when it comes to transfers. Having said that, there is no smoke without fire and it looks like Eden Hazard will finally be able to play under the guidance of his idol, Zinedine Zidane in a very short time.
