Social media can be negative in various aspects but we should be thankful for it in certain cases like we saw with Toni Kroos has he hit back at claims that he is considering leaving Real Madrid this summer.

With Zinedine Zidane’s arrival and his promise on big changes coming, it is quite difficult for us to really predict what is going to happen this summer. No one in the team except for maybe Karim Benzema played as we all expected while Vinicius Junior is possibly the only player to exceed all expectations. Other than that, everyone was below par and no one in the team can look back at this season fondly.

One of the many players that has not been able to perform to the best of his abilities this season was Toni Kroos as rumors have now emerged that the German is thinking of leaving in the summer.

He feels that a cycle has ended for him at the team. Kroos has decided to go straight to the source and categorically deny his intention to leave this summer by admitting that the information was absolutely false.

That automatically and completely ended the rumors. All it took was a few words and the German midfielder was able to put millions of Madridistas at ease because of it. Why can’t all players be more like this?

Of course, asking all players who have social media accounts to respond to the rumors surrounding them is impossible mainly because there may be some truth behind them but it’s also difficult for a fan of any team to see one of their star players surrounded by all these stories which turn out to be false in the end.

Last summer, after Real Madrid lost Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane, rumors circulated about Karim Benzema moving on to another club and the French striker responded right away on Instagram denying that he was leaving and making it clear that he wanted to stay at the club.

In return, he has been one of the star players this season as he became one of the most important people in the squad.

These two players are not the only ones who have been linked to other clubs during the past year. One of the more recent ones was Marcelo as the Spanish and Italian media suggested that the Brazilian will be reconnecting with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus after having a terrible season.

Marcelo has so far stayed quiet on the rumors and therefore we have no choice but to believe that there may be truth behind it all. Other players who have also been linked to other clubs but have chosen to stay silent about it are Luka Modric, Keylor Navas, Raphael Varane, and Gareth Bale.

Of course, none of this means that Toni Kroos will be at Real Madrid next season, but it’s always refreshing to see a player deny certain rumors when they’re false. Having said that, don’t be surprised to see some of the big names leave the Santiago Bernabéu this summer so enjoy every moment as we will definitely be seeing a different team this time next season.
