Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and manager Zinedine Zidane have liked what they’ve seen from French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and could try to sign him this summer despite a €100 million price tag.

If you haven’t had the chance to watch the tall, strong, and fast central midfielder who currently plays with Lyon, stop reading and watch this video before continuing.

Now that you have seen the skills this young beast possesses, you can better understand why Perez and Los Blancos want to add this player to the squad. With many doubting how much longer Luka Modric will be a prominent part of the lineup, Zizou could be lining up his successor.

Ndombele has been phenomenal this season and had it not been for an early exit from the Champions League for Lyon, he could have been drawing the same praise as many of the Ajax players are receiving during this incredible run they are on.

In 45 appearances for the club during this season, Tanguy has shown his ability to dribble through the midfield, make the smart pass, and create chances. In fact, he has averaged one key pass in both UCL and Ligue 1 and completes on average 88.5 percent of his passes.

Reports out of France and Spain have indicated that the talented midfielder will not leave his home country unless a Premier League club or Real Madrid make an offer in the neighborhood of €100 million.

There is, however, a chance Lyon agree to a deal in the €70 – €80 million range, according to a source close to the situation. From everything I have seen, Ndombele looks like a bigger, more athletic Toni Kroos.

He is decisive in his tackles, quick on and off the ball, and has the potential to be one of the best holding midfielders in the world if he plays with the right players and coaches.

I would like to see Real Madrid make an offer for Tanguy Ndombele if they are worried about Dani Ceballos or Marcos Llorente being regular starters or if Modric is close to hanging up the cleats. At this point, I would be happy with Madrid signing any player who can create chances and maybe score some goals.

The current players can’t seem to score at the moment and any help at all would be great appreciated! Personally, I would like to see Ndombele join over Paul Pogba if it came down to it.
