L’Equipe have reported that Eden Hazard will be joining Real Madrid by the end of the month. Here are the details from the story.

French media outlet L’Equipe has reported that Eden Hazard will, in fact, be joining Real Madrid this summer in an effort to improve the squad.

According to the article written by Frederic Hermel who is based in Madrid, Los Blancos will make the official announcement after the Final of the Europa League.

Hazard’s current club, Chelsea FC, made their way to the Final after a victory against Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. The match was won 4-3 on penalties with the Blues booking their tickets to Baku, Azerbaijan. Chelsea will face off against Arsenal on May 29 and will be the teams’ final games of the season.

Only time will tell but it seems that the song and dance may come to a close and a new chapter will start for both Hazard and Madrid. Hazard has been flirting with the idea of joining Los Blancos for years.

The number 10 has shared his admiration for Frenchmen Zinedine Zidane on several occasions including an interview with Belgian media outlets. The manager was a huge reason for Hazard to come to the Capital. When Zidane parted ways last summer the move was improbable, but with him back the situation is looking up.

While Chelsea struggled domestically to keep pace with front runners Liverpool and winners Manchester City in the Premier League, the winger had a great season of his own.

"“I hope he will stay,” said Sarri."

Hazard finished the 2018-19 campaign winning the Premier League Playmaker award. The Belgian International finished the season with 15 assists the most in the league this past season. Adding to that the Chelsea talisman celebrated 16 goals making this his best individual season in England.

"“Yes I have made my decision but it is not just about me,” said Hazard"

Following the final whistle, Hazard was seen making his way to the away end, sharing applause, some waves, and a kiss. His actions have added to the validity of the rumors that he will be departing this summer.

If Hazard can replicate his recent campaign in Madrid next season, he will be a huge asset in the final third. His skill set will be thoroughly welcomed as Los Blancos struggled to create much offense.

The date has been set, and 16 days from now we could very well know the decision made by Hazard and how much cash Real Madrid was willing to drop.
