Refusal to move

Considering the above, the statements coming from Bale’s agent are all the more ridiculous. Throughout the season, he called Bale ‘one of the best players in the world’ and berated the behavior of Madrid fans towards him. He also said that the club’s fans don’t deserve a player as good as Bale. But he is also adamantly stating that the player sees his future in Madrid. He does not want to leave, he does not want to go out on loan. ‘He’s got a lovely life and home in Spain.’

That is hands down one of the weakest excuses I have ever heard. Every player who moves to another club has to uproot his family and change their surroundings.

Did Hazard not like his life in London? Did Neymar not like his life in Barcelona? Obviously they did, but such is the life of modem day footballers. You have to make these decisions to move ahead in your career or get out of a rut.

And let’s admit that Bale’s career is in a rut at Madrid. Forget starting or being a substitute, he doesn’t even make it to the squad at times.
