Transfer rumours:
Tanguy Ndombele:
As mentioned in the previous slide, Olympique Lyon midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele is apparently a target of the club. With negotiations for Paul Pogba seemingly impossible and members at the club not all too convinced by Pogba, Ndombele is the man eyes have turned to.
Reports in France have reported that Zidane and the club have conceded that attaining Pogba will be difficult financially, with the club required to spend over €150m. With alternatives needed, the idea of Ndombele reportedly appeals far more to the club both financially and when it comes to the players qualities. The alternative list according to the report contained Tanguy Ndombele, Christian Eriksen and Donny Van De Beek.
With Ndombele topping the list, the fee reportedly would cost the club €90m. This is far less than Pogba and Eriksen, with both United and Spurs demanding high fees for their respective players. It is understood that Ndomeble is favoured by the coach and those at the club, with good relations between Perez and Lyon, could we be seeing Ndombele at the club this summer?
An exodus at the club?
With the amount of money that has been spent this summer, it is no secret in the transfer market that when big additions are made, exits are needed. Reports from MARCA have stated that Real will avoid signing any further players until they have sold enough players to balance the books.
The reports suggest that the players that could be sold include: James Rodriguez (to Napoli on loan €5m fee plus €35m obligation to buy), Mateo Kovacic (Both Milan clubs and Chelsea are interested), Raul De Tomas (€25m) – the club is looking for €120m from the sale of those three. Alongside them, the likes of Nacho, Lucas Vasquez, Theo Hernandez and Dani Ceballos could all also leave. Martin Ødegaard has reportedly agreed on a loan deal to Bayer Leverkusen and Real are still looking for a suitor for Gareth Bale.
With the club needing to raise funds, it could be that the club pauses all further signings until then. After shooting down reports that all deals done before June would fall into the 18/19 budget, it appears as though the club need to appease the FFP regulations. With Marcos Llorente having departed for €40m to Atletico Madrid, the hard part of the window may just begin here!
