With the transfer window still ongoing and some big signings already through the door at Real Madrid, we take a look at the upcoming season and make some predictions as to what could happen in 2019/2020.

It’s only June but Real Madrid’s transfer activity is in full flow. Florentino Perez and Zidane are taking players off teams like Thanos getting the soul stones one by one. Jovic, Hazard, and Mendy have already been announced by the club and one of Paul Pogba and Tanguy Ndombele are going to follow most likely.

The club had the plan of acquiring Jovic, Hazard, and Mendy before July so that these count in the 2018/19 transfer books which allows the club to spend big in July and August. In addition to this departure of at least 7-8 players will also help in balancing the books to avoid any FFP violations.

Real Madrid will win the league title

Zinedine Zidane is a man with a plan and he has already started working in the transfer window. He is acquiring his bits and pieces and building the squad according to his needs. Not only the signings but the coaching team as well, Zidane recently met with Madrid’s former goalkeeping coach, currently at Real Sociedad, to convince him to join the club.

This is prediction is not reactionary because of all the signings but the fact that we have now filled the Cristiano Ronaldo void in a much better way than before. The club has strengthened the defence and has addressed the issues the squad had.

The reason I feel we can win the league is Barcelona aren’t the team people make them out to be. They have defensive frailties and it showed against Valencia, Getafe, Liverpool to name a few clubs. They have been vulnerable at the back but teams haven’t taken the advantage as much as they should have.

It’s not that they struggle against top sides they have struggled against the mid-table teams from the league as well. Of course, having Messi and Ter-Stegen at the back helps to paper over the cracks. If Zinedine Zidane gets his system right I think this squad has the ability to perform consistently over the 38 games.
