Marco Asensio plays his last season for Real Madrid

Marcos Asensio once hailed as the best left foot I’ve seen since Leo Messi by Zidane is now on Real Madrid fringes. It is a make or break season for the Spanish winger. He has already dropped two below par season on the roll and the Bernabéu will lose patience if he doesn’t impress this season.

Real Madrid already have an influx of young wingers with Rodrygo and Martin Ødegaard joining the club after performing really well and the club has also signed the Japanese youngster Kubo. Asensio will have to up his game otherwise all these players are circling around like shark to grab the opportunity to take over.

The fact that Mbappe may join the club this season or maybe the next will pretty much put a nail on the coffin even if Asensio has a decent season.
