Whilst Zinedine Zidane and the rest of team continued preseason preparations in Germany, Bale was left in Spain. Zidane discussed the matter following the sides first regulation time win over Fenerbahce, stating that he left Bale to train alone in the Spanish capital.

The Welshman reportedly remained back in Spain as a result of his anger at the Frenchman and the club for the way they have treated him as of late. The decision to cut his inclusion was made by the club as they felt he was not in the right state of mind.

However, following the game against Fenerbahce, Zidane stated that Bale was simply not fit enough to feature in the team that travelled. Tensions between the club and the player have been high ever since Zidane’s open discussion of his future.

The player was seen playing golf per reports in Spain, just as the team kicked off against Tottenham Hotspur in the first game of the Audi Cup. Following the game, the manager stated that he did not want discuss the players private life and that he will see what the situation is once he returns to the capital.

As the summer window shifts towards its final stage, the exit options for the Welshman continue to fade. With Zidane making it clear it will be best for all parties if the player departs, it will be interesting to see who the suitors are to take him away from the Bernabeu.
