Real Madrid will square off against undefeated Osasuna on Wednesday night, and here are some thoughts on how their announced squad looks for this key matchup.

Despite the fact that Osasuna were just called up from the second division, they are not an opponent for Real Madrid to take lightly. Not only have Osasuna been undefeated to start this year’s campaign, but they have also been in-form all year long with an undefeated streak of nearly 20 matches. They currently sit in the top half of the table and even tied Barcelona 2-2 earlier this season.

But Real Madrid are still the clear favorites. They recently defeated Sevilla 1-0 on the road to right the ship and should be able to take care of business at the Santiago Bernabeu. What makes this game intriguing, though, is the fact that Real are facing Osasuna in between bigger matches against Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.

Real have dealt with a bevy of early-season injuries, necessitating a rotation for this game against Osasuna with the rivalry game against Atletico on the horizon. This means there’s plenty to talk about with regards to the announced lineup, as young players could get their chance to shine on Wednesday in front of the home crowd.

Here are four takeaways from Real’s announced squad, which can be viewed here from the official site account.
