Martin Odegaard has been tearing it up this season at Real Sociedad, and Real Madrid fans are dreaming of a future with him, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo dominating La Liga defenses.

Through six Matchdays, Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard has been one of La Liga’s most impressive players. The Real Sociedad star has scored two goals in five appearances, creating chances almost at will and embarrassing defenders with his slick dribbling skills.

Odegaard looks excellent last season on loan at Vitesse, but he’s suddenly stepped up his game from “good” to potentially even “elite” in 2019-2020.

The 20-year-old’s latest exploits can be viewed here. In Real Sociedad’s Matchday 6 contest against Alaves, Odegaard nutmegged a defender in midfield before unleashing a devastating, defense-splitting pass to give Sociedad an early 1-0 lead via Mikel Oyarzabal’s finish.

Seriously, the vision and execution to pick that pass that just got to the forward before the keeper could get there is sublime. And the nutmeg was just the icing on the cake.

Odegaard is going to be a special player in Real Madrid’s talented midfield for years to come, and Real fans had a blast reacting to this sensational assist from the Norwegian playmaker.

But first, look at the praise Sid Lowe heaped on Odegaard. Honestly, it’s hard to argue against this point,

Yes. Yes, it is.

A strong take on Joao Felix and Martin Odegaard, but I’ll allow it. As good as Felix is, Odegaard has been better this season, which says how good he is. Plus, it never hurts to get a little debate going before Saturday’s derby between Real and Atletico, right?

Top five player in the league? Referring to the Lowe tweet, he might be as of right now solely looking at 2019-2020 performance.

Rodrygo and Vinicius are in the squad right now. Odegaard, Andriy Lunin, and Takefusa Kubo are on loan in La Liga. Dani Ceballos is playing at a high level for Arsenal.

Yeah, Real Madrid is in good hands. To put a twist on The Offspring, “The Kids Are Alright”.

And when it’s all said and done, THAT assist might go down as the best of the season. How on earth did he pick that out? Absolute magician.
