Real Madrid almost gave it away in the second half, but they sealed the deal in stoppage time to score a statement win over Granada on Matchday 8.

Despite racking up three straight clean sheets in La Liga to vault to the top of the table, Real Madrid didn’t inspire much optimism in their fanbase by drawing 2-2 in the Champions League with Club Brugge. But while Zinedine Zidane has some work to do in order to get back on track in the competition that’s become his trademark, Real remained strong in the league with a 4-2 win over Granada.

Much has been written about Real’s “struggles” this season, but the fact of the matter is that that they are first place in La Liga. Moreover, they have several young players performing at a high level, namely breakout star Fede Valverde, who has become a favorite of Zidane’s and thus a regular in the lineup through his relentless work in the middle of the park.

The Granada game was Valverde’s time to shine, but which other player stood out in Real Madrid’s huge 4-2 victory?
