5. Gareth Bale’s assist

Gareth Bale loves using his trusted left boot to shoot when cutting from the right side, but he’s also able to use the outside of his left foot to send singing passes into the box. That’s exactly what he did in just the second minute of this game, finding Karim Benzema with a pass that had some unreal curve to it.

Honestly, Bale had no business making this pass, as few players would even have the audacity to attempt it. But Bale’s mentality and ability are on a different level, as he’s proven time and time again that, despite the rumors suggesting the contrary this summer, he is still a world-class player for Real Madrid.

Bale had a solid game overall, but this single moment in the second minute set the tone for the rest of the game for Real’s attack. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better assist in La Liga this season, except perhaps for the ones made by Real Madrid loanee – and reigning Player of the Month – Martin Odegaard at Real Sociedad.

Hopefully there will be more moments of magic to come for the Welsh star.
