Real Madrid currently sit in first in the league, and they have been lifted to the top by a few brilliant performances this season.

Though the pressure that comes with donning a Real Madrid jersey has led to plenty of unfair criticism directed at the expected targets, the reality is that Los Blancos have received some incredible performances from their players this season.

Yes, they have faltered in their first two Champions League outings, but Real are first place in La Liga for a reason. It’s interesting that Liverpool have been slow to start the Champions League, and with one bounce here or there against RB Salzburg, they could be in a similar situation with one Champions League point but a first place standing in their league.

So why the additional pressure on Real Madrid? Simply put, because it’s Real Madrid, and any sign of weakness will be pounced upon and exaggerated.

Instead of exaggerating the negativity, let’s praise what’s been positive. And Real have been lifted up by plenty of displays of individual brilliance so far this season.

Let’s take a look at the best of those performances as Real emerge from the October international break, focused on receiving a few more great displays in major games this month against Galatasaray and Barcelona.
