Real Madrid will face Real Mallorca on Matchday 9, and here are five storylines heading into Los Blancos’ first match after the October international break.

After eight games, Real Madrid have yet to suffer defeat in La Liga, and everyone fully expects them to grab all three points on Matchday 9, even though they’ll face Real Mallorca away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mallorca are currently near the opposite end of the table in the relegation zone, so Real fans already have their eyes on Galatasaray and Barcelona next week. But they should be able to take care of business against Mallorca. Fans expect backups to get opportunities to play, as the international break didn’t end up being much of a “break” for Real, given that Gareth Bale and Luka Modric have now joined the list of injuries.

What should Real Madrid fans keep an especially close eye on this Saturday when the team travels to Mallorca? Which young players could step into the starting lineup? Here’s a look at five storylines heading into Matchday 9.
