Real Madrid started the month of October with a concerning draw to Club Brugge, and after a few highs and lows in the middle of the month, they head into November with plenty of momentum after defeating Leganes 5-0.
While Real Madrid don’t quite look like Champions League favorites heading into November, they did finally bag their first win of the European competition by securing a narrow 1-0 victory in Istanbul. It was a cagey affair for both sides, but Real will be happy that they obtained all three points despite not necessarily being at their best.
In La Liga, Zinedine Zidane is still expected to deliver the goods, though there would be no shame in falling short of Barcelona. That said, the league campaign is certainly there for the taking, and with the way young players like Fede Valverde and Rodrygo have broken out recently, Los Blancos should really like their chances at coming away with the league title when it’s all said and done.
But there’s still so much football left to play. Prognostication at this early stage is fraught with error, so instead of trying to predict how things will look five months from now, let’s focus on which players will need to be at their best in November.
