Real Madrid absolutely dismantled Galatasaray on Wednesday night 6-0, and here were the top five performances from a statement-making win.

With the caveat that Galatasaray looked absolutely lifeless, particularly in the second half, this was the best performance of the 2019-2020 campaign thus far from Real Madrid. After failing to score against Real Betis over the weekend, Los Blancos could not stop scoring against Galatasaray, finishing with a haul of six goals at the Santiago Bernabeu when it was all said and done.

The 6-0 represented quite the improvement from Real Madrid’s trip to Istanbul a couple of weeks ago, when they were lucky to come away with all three points in a gritty 1-0 win over Galatasaray. But with the same lineup in place, Real received a much more professional performance from their starting XI.

Rodrygo was undoubtedly the star of the evening, scoring a hat trick that included two goals in the game’s first seven minutes. He even provided an assist on a golden platter for striker Karim Benzema, who had two goals of his own in the emphatic victory.

It’s always easier to write about a team after a performance like this one, so let’s take some time to praise the top five performers in a game in which everyone in the starting lineup shined.
