RW Rodrygo
Real Madrid could opt to give Rodrygo some rest against Eibar, but with Vinicius Junior in the lineup over Lucas Vazquez, who spend more time on the right side than Vinicius, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Rodrygo was named the Champions League Player of the Week for recording a perfect hat trick against Galatasaray, and that is quite the feat for an 18-year-old. The Brazilian scored in the fourth and seventh minutes before sealing the deal in the final moments of the match, rounding off a sublime performance.
Ever since becoming a regular in the starting lineup after a quality first game against Galatasaray in October, Rodrygo has become one of Madrid’s most important players. Zinedine Zidane is learning to lean on both Fede Valverde and Rodrygo, who are both clearly integral parts of the future for Los Blancos.
Eibar simply don’t have the quality to handle someone like Rodrygo, who is composed and skilled on the ball and absolutely ingenious off it. His movement creates so many problems for defenses, especially when he and Karim Benzema start working their magic together.
Another goal or assist from Rodrygo on Saturday looks like a safe bet, as he is on excellent form right now. Then again, is it form or is that just his level of class?
