Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is the first player to reach 10 goals in La Liga this season.

Karim Benzema does it all for Real Madrid. The striker had his first shot of the game against Real Sociedad in the seventh minute. However, Benzema was as important in attack as he was in defense. Throughout moments of the first half, Real Sociedad had a series of free kicks on the attacking end. In those moments, Benzema was also there to clear two promising crosses that could have been the second goal for the visitors.

About 30 minutes after his first shot, Benzema would score the goal that would tie the game. Modric fought for a ball in the right flank which led to a free kick. The Croatian crossed the ball to Benzema ,who positioned his body to knock the ball with his right shoulder into the net. This goal was a display of the infinite class the French striker possesses.

In the second half, Madrid tried to control the game a bit more. Benzema lost a ball in front of the box, yet he sprinted half the field towards his goal forcing the recovery of the ball. He continues to show his leadership as one of the team’s captains.

With fewer than 20 minutes left, Fede Valverde recovered a ball to send a through ball on the right side for Gareth Bale. The Welshman sent a cross with his right foot for Benzema, who headed the ball towards Luka Modrić. The Ballon d’Or winner measured a left-footed volley to put in the third goal of the match.

Benzema returned the favor to Modrić, who assisted him in the first goal. The No. 9 recorded his fourth assist of the season and had already scored in this game, yet he sought another goal. In the last ten minutes of the goal, Benzema had two more shots on target.

“Hay mucho ruido”, Zinedine Zidane said at the press conference after the game.

Zidane said this in regards to the situation with Bale.

“Ruido” has been what Benzema has done in the pitch. He’s the third maximum scorer of the top five top European leagues in 2019.

Special mentions to Eden Hazard, Luka Modrić, and Ferland Mendy as Man of the Match candidates against Sociedad. But Benzema deserves the nod here, as he continues to be Real’s most important player this season.
