After coming out of a very convincing 3-1 win against Real Sociedad in the league, Real Madrid must now take on Paris Saint-Germain in a must-win match at the Santiago Bernabeu.

PSG beat Real Madrid 3-0 in Paris earlier this season, and even though this match is more about the three points than it is about revenge, the players will definitely have that on their mind as they expect that Kylian Mbappe and Neymar will be part of the lineup in Spain.

Thibaut Courtois:

He’s in incredible form and will want to show it against some of the best finishers in the world. The Belgian goalkeeper recently beat Keylor Navas‘ record but conceded unluckily against Real Sociedad during the weekend.

Dani Carvajal:

Started against Real Sociedad and had a very good game, expect him to start again on Tuesday night. It’s clear where his back-up, Alvaro Odriozola, stands in the pecking order and therefore Zidane won’t want to take any risks.

Raphael Varane:

By far our strongest center-back at the moment and there is no reason why he won’t start against PSG. Varane had a rough start to the campaign like many other players, but it looks like he’s finally back to his best and will need to bring his A-Game against an extremely strong PSG side.

Sergio Ramos:

Our captain had a poor start to the Real Sociedad game by practically giving away a goal, but he was extremely solid for the rest of the 88 minutes. Sergio Ramos will undoubtedly start in the UEFA Champions League match.

Marcelo:

Rested against Real Sociedad, Marcelo will be at his best on Tuesday night. The Brazilian has improved dramatically since the beginning of this season, although there will always be lapses in defense for him. However, what he brings to the team is unmatched by anyone else and we’ll be seeing that on the left-flank once again.

Carlos Casemiro:

Is there any match where Carlos Casemiro is not expected to start? The Brazilian defensive midfielder is an integral part of Zidane’s team and whenever he’s fit, he will play. It’s that simple.

Federico Valverde:

Two goals in two games for Federico Valverde as he came out with another masterclass and he will have to be part of the starting lineup once again. The Uruguayan has been performing brilliantly since last season whenever he was called upon and he is expected to take it up a notch on Tuesday.

Toni Kroos:

Just like Marcelo, Toni Kroos was rested during the weekend and therefore he will have to start against PSG. He came on as a substitute during the game but expect him to start alongside Valverde with Luka Modric (who had a brilliant game) on the bench and could come on during the second half if required.

Gareth Bale:

I predicted that Gareth Bale would start against Real Sociedad and I was incorrect as he came on as a substitute but I also said that Zidane will want more experience against PSG and if that’s the case then Bale is the right man. In his cameo appearance, the Welshman was whisteld excessively but came out with a great performance and he’ll want to continue that on Tuesday.

Eden Hazard:

All that is missing from his game is more goals and he’ll get that sooner or later. Other than that, Eden Hazard has improved dramatically as he comes out with brilliant performances in all the recent games he’s played in. The Belgian is a definite starter in Zidane’s system and will be starting against the French side.

Karim Benzema:

Got his tenth La Liga goal of the season on Saturday night and has been able to continue his incredible form. There is no need to rest him just yet and even if there was, it won’t be against PSG. Benzema will start with Luka Jovic on the bench.
