Real Madrid: PSG want Vinicius Junior for Kylian Mbappe?
It’s no secret that Kylian Mbappe is Real Madrid’s top transfer target in the future, and PSG reportedly have their eyes on a young star on Los Blancos they want in exchange.
Real Madrid seem willing to obtain Kylian Mbappe at any cost. He will be the best player in the world one day, and that day isn’t far off. Los Blancos built their club DNA around elite attacking talent, and while the have a few great players in Eden Hazard and Karim Benzema, they are missing a true goal-scoring winger who can lethally finish chances he creates on his own.
Enter Mbappe, who set Ligue 1 ablaze last campaign after being the World Cup’s best player and is off to another brilliant start in the 2091-2020 campaign. His technical quality, intelligence, end product, and athleticism make him a rare talent, and his development at the age of 20 has spoiled fans for other young prospects.
Los Blancos could end up paying more than 300 million euros to PSG for Mbappe, but the Parisian club wants more than money.
According to AS, via MAJ, PSG will try to pry Vinicius Junior away from Madrid in exchange for Mbappe. PSG sporting director Leonard is said to be high on Vinicius, whom he sees as a future global superstar.
And it’s easy to see why. Vinicius is one of the hardest-working wingers in the game. He contributes on defense, carries the ball into the attack, and always provides a spark when he’s in the game. Vinicius still needs to work on his consistency, composure, and finishing, but so do all young attackers besides Mbappe.
From PSG’s perspective, Vinicius might be the best possible young player they could conceivably get in exchange for Mbappe, especially since Real Madrid easily look like the player’s preferred landing spot. So if PSG are to get market value for Mbappe and the player is intent on leaving, a deal with Madrid with Vini as a replacement may be Leonard’s best option.
Vinicius has struggled for playing time this year due to Real’s depth in the attack, but he’s shown his quality this season, especially with his wondergoal against Osasuna in September. He does indeed have world-class potential, and Madridistas won’t forget the role he played in 2018-2019 as a brief glimmer of hope before suffering an injury.
Real wouldn’t want to lose Vinicius and will likely do what they can to avoid letting him go, but if Mbappe is coming back the other way, Florentino Perez will likely give in.
