Who was the best Real Madrid signing of the 2010’s? We rank the top five.

Not only is the year nearing its end, but so is this decade, as we take this opportunity to look back at the top five Real Madrid transfers during the past 10 years from 2010-2019. What made it more interesting is that players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Xabi Alonso and Karim Benzema cannot be added to this list as they signed just one year earlier.

Looking through the past ten years of arrivals at Real Madrid, it’s extremely difficult to just stick to the five players who have made an impact at the club enough for them to be part of this final list. Angel Di Maria, Gareth Bale and others all can have an argument to be a part of the top five list, but they fall into the “honorable mentions” category. The players who made the top five were all bargain signings.

It won’t be surprising to see that everyone in the top five list were part of the legendary squads that won the UEFA Champions League three times in a row with Los Blancos with most of them still in the squad today. In no particular order, here are my top five transfers of the decade.
