Real Madrid and Flamengo have been working towards a deal for 17-year-old attacking midfielder Reinier over the past couple of days, and Los Blancos have reportedly agreed to a 30 million euro deal with the Brazilian club.
Florentino Perez is building up an army of incredible young talent in Real Madrid, as his priority is to sign the world’s best players before their prices inflate when they reach peak development. It may be a risky strategy, but with Real’s ability to develop players, it’s certainly paid off thus far.
Rodrygo, Sergio Reguilon, Achraf Hakimi, Martin Odegaard, Vinicius Junior, and Eder Militao are just some of the incredible young players who are playing for the Madrid first team or on loan in 2019-2020.
Another teenager from Brazil is about to join wingers Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior as a potential future superstar in Madrid.

Los Blancos and Flamengo have been working towards a deal for Reinier, who scored six goals with two assists last season despite not being a regular starter. He is the club’s most promising player and joins a loaded group of attacking midfielders on the Real books.
MARCA reports that Real Madrid and Flamengo have agreed to a deal worth 30 million euros, and Los Blancos will wait until the player turns 18 on Jan. 19 before making the signing official.
It’s an unsurprising addition to the Real youth team, as Real have already cleared out space for Reinier.
They have always seemed like the favorites to land the player, especially since FC Barcelona no longer looked like a logical landing spot.
There were some discussions if Reinier would go for a fee closer to his 35 million euro release clause next summer, since his current release clause is 30 million.
It was also speculated that Reinier may or may not play immediately for Castilla.
But it looks like he’ll join Castilla as soon as his deal is made official later this month. Based on the transfer fee, Los Blancos may have just gotten a steal.
Despite interest from PSG, Manchester City, Barca, and Atletico Madrid, as per MARCA, a deal between Real and Reinier seemed inevitable. It will be exciting to see how he develops in Madrid, because he has so much potential.
